writingcyan replied to your post: Could you please tag posts of yours dealing with…

Thanks. Working the weekend ER shift has made me a little sensitive, I think.

No, it’s all good, dude. I know I’ve tagged that stuff in the past but I do forget sometimes. Maybe now that you’ve nudged me on the matter I’ll remember every time though. When I reblog Tool stuff I make sure it’s tagged because one of my followers really isn’t into their imagery and let me know, so it should be cool from here. c:

I’m not kidding. They should hire you to draw the textbook illustrations. ;) Although, thinking this through, I just realised the exams might be… awkward… o_O;;

YES I WANT TO ILLUSTRATE THE TEXT BOOKS FOR GAY MED SCHOOL

MY LIFE FINALLY HAS PURPOSE

…hopefully it will be a written exam, at which we all know you’d do very well. c:

writingcyan replied to your post: at some point I’mma have to make a portfolio up so…

I swear my anatomy lectures would have been SO MUCH BETTER if they’d been all gay porn. Think about it: handporn, foot porn, actual genital anatomy, and, since it’s medicine, all of it guro-flavoured. Pls sign me up for gay med school!

I lost it at “gay med school”!! LOL

Oh Cyan you are a perfect person wahahahaha

sarahbelham replied to your post: tell me what you love about Heavy/Medic I just…

I just imagine Medic really liking men that are big enough to make him feel small—which is kind of hard for him to come by, seeing as how he’s not exactly tiny himself.

I just… I…
I know I KNOW THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT THEM! You put it so perfectly. Agh. Thank you.

I like to think that Heavy is the only one Medic will drop his guard with. In everything else he does, Medic’s got to be precise, knowledgeable, and confident, because he’s the team’s doctor.
Again, exactly! Medic’s such a prideful pain in the ass and a control freak and I’m sure nobody believes Heavy if he tells them Medic has a softer, more vulnerable side.

I love that neither of them cares what other people think. They don’t hide what they are and feel no need to; Medic can skin a man alive and Heavy can pulp every bone in a body, and when they see someone look and look away, they share a knowing grin.
Ah yes, we now come to the fact that these are two bloodthirsty mercenaries who use deadly force on a daily basis and anyone stupid enough to challenge their relationship had better have a damn good army to back them up.
I love those badass babbys and whenever they get together on the field and achieve a massive killing spree, it just brings them that much closer together. c:

That would be Dr. Dumb Cunt, M.D.
And ‘splice’ is a fandom term, stolen from the 2009 medical sci-fi horror of the same name. In genetic engineering, ‘splice’ (verb) is the transplanting of DNA fragments from one organism into the genome of another organism and ‘splice’ (noun) is the specific chromosomal location of the xeno-DNA insertion.
The result (be it a glow-in-the-dark mouse or a Tentaspy) is called a ‘transgenic organism’. The fandom’s cooption of ‘splice’ as a synonym for ‘transgenic organism’ sounds cool but is by definition incorrect and therefore not a ‘science term’.

However, since you’re obviously more qualified to decide what constitutes a permissible splice representation in the TF2 fandom (despite ‘splice’ being an entirely uncanonical fan invention), please elaborate on your 50% human/50% animal rule. Do you mean:
50% human DNA, 50% animal? 98% of the human genome is non-coding intron sequences. I could create a baby with 98% octopus DNA and find not a single non-human protein in its body, let alone tentacles.
50% human cells, 50% animal? Would those cells be evenly distributed? What about tissue cohesion? Besides, 90% of the cells in the human body are bacteria anyway.
50% human organs, 50% animal? I’d hate to see a 180 lbs human with the heart of a 0.5 lb squid.
Honestly, I’m so glad you weighed in on this issue, anon. Six years of medical school and 18 months of ER experience is clearly no match for that one time you dissected a frog in the 7th grade and your clever use of slurs. That sure showed me, huh? Your parents must be so proud.

From out of the mouths of Anons comes highbrow conversation.  Honestly, this was like a bug-eye chihuahua going up against a German Shepherd.  KNOW YOUR ENEMY! Or even try having a brain!
